PUEBLO, Colo. -- Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the homicide of 21-year-old Bradley Trager.
Detectives found Trager's body late Tuesday night in a field off Grape Road in Eastern Pueblo County.
Police arrested Tyler Eugene Richards and booked him into the Pueblo County Detention Center Wednesday on a warrant for first degree murder, second degree kidnapping, aggravated robbery, second degree assault, menacing with a deadly weapon and domestic violence.
Trager was previously reported missing and possibly endangered after he had not been seen or heard from since Friday, December 9.
Authorities say Trager's girlfriend, who is also the ex-girlfriend of the suspect, reported Trager's disappearance Friday after the suspect had gone to her home and confronted Trager.
The woman told authorities Tyler Richards, the suspect, pointed a gun at Trager then handcuffed him and told him to get into his truck.
When Trager refused to follow orders, the woman said the suspect hit Trager in the head with a baseball bat, put him into his truck and drove off.
Trager's girlfriend told police Richards returned later without Trager, and told her he was dead.
Detectives attempted to question Richards on Sunday in connection with Trager's disappearance but he refused to talk, according to authorities.
The investigation is ongoing.
