Air Force Academy cadet pleads guilty to trying to take inappropriate photos of women in bathroom

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - An Air Force Academy cadet has pled guilty to accusations that he tried to take photos of women's private areas without their consent.

Cadet 4th Class Sammy Tawakkol pled guilty during a special court martial Thursday.

Academy officials said Tawakkol spent three and a half months in jail and went through six months of intensive mental health treatment as a result of his actions. He will also be disenrolled from the Academy, and will likely receive an "under other than honorable conditions" characterization of his service, which is the worst possible administrative characterization.
