Gov. Bill Ritter's office announced Tuesday that the rafters and a real estate developer, Jackson-Shaw LLC, reached a four-year agreement that allows the rafters limited access to 1.7 miles of the Taylor River in western Colorado.

House Majority Leader Paul Weissman of Louisville says talks between the landowner who developed a fishing resort on the banks of the Taylor near Gunnison and Three Rivers Resort, which operates rafting trips, have no impact on what happens at the Capitol.
