About 30 soldiers and family members volunteered to work with Salvation Army staff in a Fort Carson dining hall starting Wednesday afternoon to prepare 4,500 dinners. The meals will be delivered to six locations in the Colorado Springs area. Other soldiers and family members are volunteering to serve the meals. The food is provided by the Salvation Army.
