City staff subsequently solicited bids from the private sector to provide program management for PPRTA projects. Nolte Associates, Inc. was selected and projects were restarted in mid-March. Approximately 50 percent of the projects on the City’s PPRTA Capital Projects “A” list have been completed.

The Front Range Express commuter bus service between Colorado Springs and Denver will stop running after Feb. 12 because of funding problems. Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority reduced funding for the service amid budget problems.
