Many street trees in the city's older neighborhoods are at the end of their lives due to years of drought, decay and disease. New trees are being provided by the Colorado Tree Coalition's "Trees Across Colorado" program and a donation from the North End Homeowners, at no cost to tax payers or the city’s general fund budget.
