  • Boulder skier uses ham radio to call for help

    Sunday, February 21, 2010  Boulder County sheriff's officials say 60-year-old Steve Priem of Boulder used the radio after falling Friday afternoon. Another ham radio operator heard the call and called 911. Priem was able to provide GPS coordinates for his position and had a rescue whistle.
