    Thursday, February 11, 2010  The Laramie Police Department says 42-year-old Tracy J. Whitehouse was driving the excavator at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday when it tipped on its side. The operator's cab broke through 8 inches of ice and was submerged into mud and water.
  • Thursday, February 11, 2010  Police say the 30-year-old mother was washing the inside of a Ford F-150 when the truck began moving down the driveway and hit the toddler Wednesday afternoon. Police say the child suffered a large cut on her head but was conscious when emergency crews arrived. She was airlifted to Children's Hospital.

    Friday, February 05, 2010  The parents of Devon Arnold, 23, identified their son's body by a tattoo. Police found an ID card near the body. Arnold was listed as a missing person by Denver police.

    Wednesday, January 27, 2010  The warning issued Monday by the Weld County Census office and the Colorado Attorney General's office said that Census workers would not be out until March. But some Census employees work year-round gathering data on such things as unemployment and housing. They say the warning could make their jobs harder for the next few weeks.

    Friday, January 22, 2010  A California woman is accused of robbing Premier Cash Advance in Greeley in December. In affidavits reported Friday by the Greeley Tribune, investigators say Christine Drummond and Joseph Nieto confessed to robbing the cash advance store and a bank. They took about $16,500.

    Tuesday, December 22, 2009  Since 1980, Carl Kabat has been protesting nuclear weapons on the anniversary of the U.S. bombing of Hiroshima in 1945. Authorities say that last summer he went to a Weld County missile silo site, hung banners for his cause, cut a hole in the fence, waited inside and prayed until he was arrested by authorities from Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyo.
  • Friday, December 04, 2009  Patrick Bobo was hospitalized for two days after the crash Oct. 18 and is on paid medical leave. He says he was heading to help an Eaton officer responding to an accident when the crash happened. Witnesses say Bobo ran through two stop signs on Weld County Road 72 before he crossed U.S. 85 and collided with 73-year-old Bryan E. Marshall Cooke's vehicle. Cooke wasn't seriously injured.

    Wednesday, December 02, 2009  U.S. Census officials are beginning outreach operations across Colorado and are looking for workers and places to set up sites to assist people with their questionnaires. Census officials have begun holding kickoff events in Denver and Boulder and they planned to be in Greeley Wednesday.

    Thursday, November 26, 2009  Authorities say at least three recent break-ins by 26-year-old Nicholas Mininger were of vehicles belonging to police officers. The cars were unmarked, but the break-ins had authorities wondering whether law enforcement was being targeted.
