  • Tuesday, March 23, 2010  Jefferson County prosecutors said Tuesday that 46-year-old Tam Huynh, of Aurora, pleaded guilty to racketeering. His 39-year-old wife, Thuy (Tien) Nguyen, pleaded guilty Friday to conspiracy to commit theft. They are scheduled to be sentenced May 3.

    Friday, March 12, 2010  An affidavit made public Friday also says Bruco Strong Eagle Eastwood told deputies he fired at one student who had his back turned to him. Eastwood is charged with attempted murder and other counts after allegedly opening fire at Deer Creek Middle School in suburban Denver on Feb. 23. He hasn't entered a plea.

    Wednesday, March 03, 2010  Thirty-six-year-old Elinor Dvir is charged with solicitation of first-degree murder and other counts. Her trial got under way Tuesday in Jefferson County District Court in Golden, just west of Denver. Dvir lived in Denver but the alleged attempt to hire a hit man was in Jefferson County.

    Tuesday, March 02, 2010  Prosecutors formally filed charges Tuesday against 32-year-old Bruco Strong Eagle Eastwood, accused of opening fire in the parking lot of Deer Creek Middle School in suburban Denver on Feb. 23.

    Tuesday, January 05, 2010  John Wilmarth McCulley was arrested in June, when Jefferson County authorities seized 17 of his horses that they said were malnourished. The 44-year-old pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated animal cruelty and possession of a weapon by a previous offender, both felonies. He is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 26.

    Monday, December 21, 2009  Witnesses say the toddler, Joshua Johnson, got away from his grandmother and then bent down, apparently to pick something up, when he was run over by a shopper looking for a parking spot. The Colorado State Patrol says the boy was wedged between the chassis of the 1996 Toyota Corolla and the ground.

    Friday, December 11, 2009  JAN Massage owner James Allen Narcy was convicted Thursday of three felony counts of sexual assault and two misdemeanor counts of unlawful sexual contact.

    Monday, November 23, 2009  John Arthur Lovelace pleaded guilty in July to one count of sexual assault of a child, but the count named both victims. He was sentenced Friday. Jefferson County prosecutors said Monday that the 54-year-old will have to register as a sex offender.
