Two firefighters were injured battling a fire at a 14,000-square-foot house near Douglas Lake 5 miles north of Fort Collins. Poudre Fire Authority spokesman Patrick Love says the fire was reported Saturday afternoon by an ice fisherman. More than 40 firefighters responded to the blaze.

Authorities say fore caused structural damage at two apartments, with smoke damage at another two. Investigators believe the fire started in a bathroom ceiling and then spread to an apartment above.

The Poudre Valley Fire Authority says the man went swimming Sunday in a pond near Harmony Gardens Nursery, where he worked. A co-worker called for help at about 5 p.m. when he didn't return.
