Thursday, December 17, 2009  Children 9 years old and younger who received a first dose and need their second dose are encouraged to call the Health Department to schedule an appointment. Health Department officials recommend 28 days between doses, yet 21 days since the first dose is also acceptable. The number to call to schedule an appointment for second dose is 719-583-4440.

Monday, November 30, 2009  Johnny Rea of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services says at least 1,000 doses will be available. Clinics start Thursday. Vaccinations will be given to at-risk individuals, including pregnant women, parents and caretakers of children younger than 6 months, anyone 6 months through 24 years, people 25 through 64 years who have chronic health conditions, and health care workers.
