The event Friday and Saturday at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver is expected to include participants from Holland and Italy and more than 300 booths featuring businesses and products. Elected officials will participate in a town hall meeting.

Bloomberg will be speaking Oct. 21 at the Hyatt Regency at the Colorado Convention Center. The proceeds from the event will go to the Denver Scholarship Foundation, which pays for college for DPS students. Bloomberg says he is "happy to be part of their efforts this year."

Developer Darin Dolce has offered to sell the city 37,000 square feet for $2.6 million. Dolce has said either he or the city could operate the remaining 54,000 square feet as a convention center and offices.
