He said the Fort Collins Democrat was in a "tough district" but that her hometown newspaper, The Coloradoan, editorialized if favor of the bill after she announced she would vote for it.

Betsy Markey and John Salazar said Wednesday that they had added a provision to extend it for another year to a larger appropriations bill. The bill is expected to be considered by the House and Senate by the end of the year. It isn't subject to further amendments so, if the bill passes, the ban will be extended.
