Tuesday, February 23, 2010  Twenty-five-year-old Francis Hernandez, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, was convicted Tuesday. Prosecutors say he was driving an SUV that crashed into a truck, which in turn crashed into a Baskin-Robbins store in September 2008. Two women in the truck were also killed. Prosecutors say Hernandez ran a red light and was going more than 80 mph in a 40-mph zone.

Monday, November 23, 2009  Denver police say the boy was shot once in the leg Sunday night and is in serious condition. It's not clear whether investigators believe the shooting was accidental. His father, 29-year-old William Thalley, was arrested on suspicion of child abuse resulting in serious injury. His mother, 25-year-old Nicole Fernandez, was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to child abuse after the fact.
