COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-- Hundreds of people are celebrating Independence Day with fine arts, music and food this weekend at a very fitting location - America the Beautiful Park.
There are 75 artists at the 12th annual Pikes Peak Art and Music Festival showcasing and selling their works along with unique food vendors, local breweries and live music throughout the day.
"I think this makes the city a little bit more aware of the arts community. It brings people from all over the city downtown so they get to see this part of the city that they might not see all the time," Pikes Peak Arts Council board member, Sarah Groh-Correa said.
The event started Saturday and wraps up at 4:00 on the Fourth.
Admission is $5 dollars for the weekend, and service members get in free on Independence Day.
