UPDATE
Lamar police has requested criminal charges be filed on a woman in the alleged murder of a man Wednesday morning.

Lamar police are investigating the discovery of a dead body early Wednesday morning.

At about 6:20 a.m., police responded to the 800 block of South 9th Street on the report of a dead body. Police said 45-year-old Rory Alba was found to be unresponsive.

Paramedics were not able to revive Alba, police said.

Suspicious circumstances were observed at the scene, according to police. The other person who lived at the apartment was arrested. That person is being held while the investigation contiunues.
