COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Instead of dressing as something scary or spontaneous for Halloween this year, students in 3rd-5th grade at Audubon Elementary School in Colorado Springs were given a different objective - dress for the job your want.

The event was meant to spotlight the students' unique talents and resulted in artists, dentists and veterinarians, among others.

"It's nice to know they can do these things," artist Brandi Lowe said. "They can focus on what they love. What if they are not great at Math? It's okay."

Lowe painted some of the murals around the school and talked with the students about the many career paths art can take. She said she has already found some aspiring artists.

"I really like to draw, things like that, so I really want to be an artist," student Zoey Smith said.

Another student dressed as an aspiring billionaire.

"You can't be spending it all," aspiring billionaire Adam Yusavage said. "You have to manage it and be like 'this is what I'm going to spend today. This is what I am going to spend tomorrow."

School officials are hoping the students get a realistic idea of the working world, all while having some fun on Halloween.

"What they don't realize is how much work actually goes behind them becoming that, and how very few people actually reach that dream," Principal Nancy Smith said.
