An investigation involving District 49 is underway.

This, after reports of threats against students on a facebook page.

The district was alerted to the page earlier this week.

It was reported to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office is now handling the investigation.

Lt. Jeff Kramer said, it appears to be a form of cyber bullying.

"We're hoping to make some headway soon as far who's responsible here for creating the post as well as those people who perhaps have chosen to make comments to the post, which are equally, inappropriate, potentially harassing, and potentially threatening as well," Kramer said.

The Facebook page continues to be monitored.
