PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo police arrested a man on several charges after a domestic disturbance turned into a shooting early Wednesday morning.

At about 2:40 a.m., police were called to the 1000 block of Cypress on the report of a domestic disturbance with shots fired.

While on the way to the address, police stopped a vehicle in the area. Inside police found two victoms who had injuries from a gunshot blast, police said.

One victim was a man and the other was a woman.

Police then responded to the address on Cypress and found a male suspect. He was identified as 30-year-old James Hurtado.

According to police, the two victims went to the home to pick someone up when an argument turned physical. That's when Hurtado is accused of shooting a gun.

Hurtado was charged with Second Degree Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Menacing with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender and Reckless Endangerment.

Police said both victims were treated and released.
