COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A 55-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint just after leaving a medical marijuana facility Monday evening, police said.

At about 7:30 p.m., Monday, police were called to the 2300 block of East Bijou Street on the report of a robbery.

Police said a 55-year-old woman had just left a medical marijuana facility when she was contacted by a man who exicted a white mini van in the area. The man, according to police, pointed a handgun at the woman and demanded her purse.

A second suspect then excited the van and also pointed a gun at the woman as the first suspect struggled to get the purse.

After the men got the purse, they fled the area in the van.

The first suspect is described as a black male with a goatee, about 25-30 years old, five-foot-eight and wearing a blue windbreaker jacket with gray or white accents. He was also wearing blue jeans.

Police said the second suspect was described as a black male about 20-30 years old, five-foot-six, and wearing a gray shirt and very baggie pants.

The driver was also described as a black male.

Any information on this crime can be reported to police at 444-7000.
