HASTY, COLO. -- A Colorado kid got to celebrate the last repeating number date for the next hundred years with a very special birthday.

Chylyn Fulton turned 12 on this 12th day of the 12th month of the 12th year in this century.

We all naturally look for patterns in numbers. We say, "things come in three's" or we make a wish at 11:11.

But sometimes those patterns seem to be more than coincidence.

That's what happened with Chylyn's mom Jenny when she and her good friend sat down one day to talk about her daughter's oddly repeating birth date.

They realized that the number 12's significance in Chylyn's life went beyond just today.

"All the 12's... it's awesome, just amazing!," Fulton said.

Her daughter is not only 12 years old on 12-12-12, but she has 6 letters in her first and last name, totaling 12.

The numbers in their telephone number add up to 24, double 12.

Jenny is 36 this year, that's triple 12.

"And she's my mother's 12th grandchild!," Fulton added.

Chylyn's mom didn't plan her birth date like many women did today. The odd timing of her 12th birthday is a coincidence.

"She was supposed to be born on the 13th," Fulton said, "She came a day early!"

Chylyn, however, thinks it was meant to be.

"I always thought my lucky number would be 12," she said. Now, she believes that more than ever.

So while this birthday may be coincidence, this little girl's life shows patterns we never would have noticed, had it not been the last alliteration date of the century.
