Hundreds of Fort Carson soldiers return home Monday

FORT CARSON, COLO. -- It is another happy day for military families as hundreds of soldiers are returning home Monday.

Fort Carson is welcoming home approximately 520 soldiers with the 4th Brigade Combat Team 4th Infantry Division.

The two homecoming ceremonies were originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon but were postponed.

Around 260 were welcomed home earlier Monday morning and a second homecoming will take place at 11:30 a.m.

The soldiers began deploying to Afghanistan last february.
