COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a drunk driver early Tuesday morning after he crashed his truck into another car and nearly hit a house.
Officers said 28-year-old Dacoven Phillips was drunk when he went through a metal gate, hit a parked car which damaged its mirror, then managed to stop right at the front steps of a home on East Fountain Boulevard.
After the crash, Phillips got out and tried to walk away from the area. However, witnesses followed him and helped officers detain him.
Phillips will be charged with DUI as well as an outstanding warrant. Nobody was hurt.
