COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- One person is dead following an accident in Southern Colorado.

It happened just before 6:00 Friday night on I-25 near milepost 46, just south of Walsenburg.

The Colorado State Patrol said a Dodge Durango was heading south on I-25 when the tire tread seperated from the left rear tire, causing the driver to lose control.

The SUV then rolled several times, ejecting those inside.

Authorities said 33-year-old Bernadette Scott of Colorado Springs was killed, while 20-year-old Breanna Ortiz, 20-year-old Viktoria Flores, and 20-year-old Tawnya Schaus were seriously injured.
