Man armed with hammer robs gas station

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station Sunday.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. at the Diamond Shamrock near Palmer Park Boulevard and Powers Boulevard.

Police said the suspect was armed with a hammer, and took cash from the clerk.

He is described as white, six feet tall with a thin build.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark pants and tan work boots.

No one was injured during the robbery.
