Pueblo man arrested in death of 2-month-old girl

PUEBLO, COLO. -- A Pueblo man has been arrested in the death of a 2-month-old girl.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports 23-year-old Bill Anthony Martinez was arrested Monday night in Colorado Springs on a warrant for first degree murder charges.

The baby was hospitalized at Memorial Hospital before being taken off life support Monday.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

According to the Chieftain the baby had injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome, including bruising and a head injury.
