DEXTER, MAINE -- Two separate Maine residents said they may have seen a missing 10-year-old girl in their state over the weekend.

According to WABI, a local TV station, two people called police in the areas of Dexter and Harmony saying they may have seen Jessica Ridgeway in a blue Buick with Colorado license plates.

Dexter and Harmony are located in central Maine, about 220 miles north of Boston.

The 10-year-old Westminster, Colo. girl has been missing since Friday. Authorities have been searching her neighborhood and surrounding areas but have only found her backpack so far.

Officers do not suspect her parents are involved. Her father lives outside Kansas City, Mo., and her mother lives with her in the Denver suburb.

Ridgeway left home Friday morning to meet some friends at a park to walk to school, but she never showed up at school. The backpack was found about six miles away.
