Canister thrown at apartment starts fire

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are investigating a fire Monday morning at the Navajo Apartments on E. Navajo St.

When investigators arrived at the scene they discovered that an unknown person had thrown a container of accelerant against a door of an apartment, resulting in a small fire.

Other residents at the apartment complex put out the fire with an extinguisher.

There was minimal damage to the apartment door and no one was injured.

The investigation is ongoing
