EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- El Paso County Sheriff's deputies announced Wednesday they will be posting the county's 10 most wanted fugitives on their website in hopes the public will help give information leading to arrests.
This is the first time the county has done this.
It creates an easy, on-line opportunity for our community members to become informed about fugitives who are believed to be in the area," Sheriff Terry Maketa said in a statement. "Through law enforcement efforts and greater community awareness, we hope to make timely arrests of those featured.”
Those with felony arrest warrants will be featured on the site a month at a time, and officials will update the site as arrests are made.
Deputies said they are committed to community partnerships and recognize many crimes are solved because of information from citizens. They are asking anyone who has information on any fugitives to call them at (719) 390-5555.
