COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said the planned procession for fellow officer Matt Tyner, who died in a crash last week, will likely cause traffic delays Tuesday afternoon.

Tyner's funeral will begin at 2 p.m. at New Life Church and is open to the public. The procession will follow the funeral, sometime between 3:30 and 4 p.m. and will last about an hour.

The procession route will be Interquest Parkway to I-25 south, I-25 south to Uintah and Uintah east to Nevada Avenue. The procession will pass City Hall and the Police Operations Center (POC).

Fire trucks displaying the American flag will be displayed near the POC.

Tyner was on a motorcycle and was chasing another car July 24 when he collided with an SUV. He died on his way to the hospital.
