Some get relief, allowed to go home

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Some Colorado Springs residents are being allowed to return home Thursday night after city officials lifted evacuations in areas along I-25.

Residents in the southeast area of Rockrimmon, including Golden Hills and Tammaron subdivisions (southeast of the Woodmen Road/Rockrimmon Boulevard intersection to South Rockrimmon), Pine Cliff, Kissing Camels (east of 30th Street from Gateway Road to Garden of the Gods Road), Holland Park, Pleasant Valley and the apartment complex at Garden of the Gods and 30th can all return home.

All other mandatory evacuation orders remain in place. For the city of Colorado Springs, that includes Cedar Heights, areas west of 30th Street from Gateway Road to Centennial Boulevard, Pinon Valley, Mountain Shadows, Peregrine and Rockrimmon northwest of the Woodmen Road/Rockrimmon Boulevard intersection to Vindicator.

Mandatory evacuations for the remainder of El Paso County and Teller County have not changed.
