Update:

The El Paso County Sheriffs office is investigating a deadly shooting in Monument.

Deputies say they were called to the Big O Tires in Monument, which is just off Highway 105, around 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Investigators say 50-year-old Bradley Blehm was shot multiple times in the parking lot.

Several law enforcement agencies responded to the shooting including the El Paso County Sheriff's office, who will be taking over the investigation.

Deputies say a fight broke out inside store, which then spilled out into the parking lot, and ended in a deadly shooting.

Blehm, who officials say was an employee at Big O Tires, was shot and killed.

"We don't have a lot of details. What we do know is there was an altercation. And ultimately shots were fired," said Lt. Lari Sevene with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the Monument Police took 18-year-old Logan McClelland into custody shortly after the shooting.

"He was still there when officers arrived. He was immediately contacted and was cooperative with law enforcement when they contacted him," said Sevene.

McClelland and his father were customers of the store. They are from Como, Colo. Logan is being charged with First Degree Murder and is being held at the El Paso County Sheriff's Office with no bond.

Officials say there was also a third party involved in the fight. Logan's father got into an argument with Blehm prior to Logan shooting him. However, authorities cannot confirm that the third party in question is Logan's father.

"The relationship between the three is still part of the investigation and what we're trying to look into to determine just exactly what occurred," said Sevene.

Logan had a complaint filed against him prior to Monday's events.

If this death is confirmed a homicide it will be the second for the town of Monument this year, which is unusual in such a typically quiet town.

"We have a lot more questions at this point than we have answers," said Sevene.
