PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Crime Stoppers is asking for help finding a woman who used counterfeit money at a Pueblo business earlier this month.

According to police, a female drove to the 7-11 store, located in the 800 block of East Fourth Street, on March 4th in a silver Honda sedan with a sunroof. She then purchased lottery tickets and paid with a counterfeit $20 bill, police said.

Police said she is described as being 17-19 years old, about 5’3" and 115 pounds with blonde hair. She was wearing a dark colored hoodie that had a photo of Bob Marley and LOVE painted on the back.

Several reports of counterfeit money being passed at Pueblo businesses are being investigated, police said. About 33 reports have been filed with the Pueblo Police Department since the beginning of the year, police said on March 12.

Residents and businesses are reminded to have their money checked, either with a counterfeit detector pen or by looking for the metallic security strip.

Any information on counterfeit money, including information about this suspect, can reported to Pueblo police at (719) 553-2502 or to Pueblo Crime Stoppers at (719) 542-STOP.
