COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado Springs Police Department announced Wednesday they have linked an inmate in Canon City to the slaying of an Antlers Plaza Hotel employee more than three decades ago.

Thirty-four-year-old Janet K. Conrad's body was found on December 3, 1976 in a laundry room of the hotel.

Her death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators said Robery Baillie, 58, is suspected of killing Conrad.

They said DNA analysis led them to Baillie, who is already imprisioned in Canon City, serving a sentence for sexual assault.

He was eligible for parole in Janurary 2014.
