And our in-office lab allows for additional convenience and efficiency. From preventative and restorative care to cosmetic and surgical procedures, each treatment is about form, function and aesthetics…and it's done to last.
Dr. Alice Vessel Dr. Alice Vessel earned her Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) in 1999 from Tufts Dental School, she began "practicing" dentistry in her youth while helping her father, Dr. Allen Vessel, in his Colorado Springs dental office. Since taking over the practice in 2005, Dr. Vessel has sustained the values for which her father was known, providing patients with gentle, personalized care in a relaxed, professional environment.
Question What age should you take your child to a dentist for the first time? Answer Typically children should start seeing the dentist at 3 years of age. Question What is the difference between a DMD and DDS dentist? Answer There is no difference between a DMD degree and a DDS degree. They only differ in the title of the degree because some schools will carry the DMD title, while others use the DDS. In the end, they both become a general dentist after graduation and becoming state licensed. Question How often should you see the dentist? Answer Most patients will see their dentist every 6 months for cleanings, exams and x-rays. However, depending on the recommendations of your dentist you may need to be seen every 3 to 4 months. Question How often should you replace your toothbrush? Answer You should replace your toothbrush every 3 to 4 months, or sooner if the bristles become worn, splayed or frayed. Change your brush at the start of every season: summer, fall, winter and spring. Question What is the second most prevalent disease in the United States? Answer Dental decay, the first is the common cold.
