CROWLEY COUNTY, COLO. -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a child Sunday afternoon.
Troopers said a 29-year-old driver was heading east on Highway 96 in Crowley County, when the car went off the road and flipped.
They said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A six-year-old in the back seat was only wearing a lap belt, and died at the hospital.
Meantime a four-year-old, who was also not in a child seat, was flown to Children's Hospital with serious injuries.
Inattentive driving is believed to have played a role in the crash.
