It was during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics that he made a dramatic comeback from a torn bicep injury to win two gold medals, one as a member of the US team and one with a perfect ten on the parallel bars. In 1991, Conner was inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame, and in 1997, he was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. In 2006, Conner’s Olympic Gold medal winning team was inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame.Nadia Comaneci became a household name at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Canada, when the 14-year-old Romanian dynamo captured the hearts and minds of the world with her daring and perfection. At the conclusion of the Olympics that summer, Comaneci had earned seven perfect tens, three gold medals, one bronze, one silver and countless fans. In the same week, she appeared on the covers of TIME, Newsweek, and Sports Illustrated and returned home to Romania to a heroine's welcome. Four years later at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, Comaneci earned two more gold medals and two silver. In 1996, Comaneci was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. Even though Nadia won a total of nine Olympic medals, five of them gold, she will always be remembered as the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 and leave her indelible mark on the history of the Olympics. In 1996, Bart and Nadia married in a lavish state wedding in Bucharest, Romania. Their son, Dylan Paul Conner, was born in 2006. Today, Bart and Nadia are involved in several charities, including the Executive Board of Special Olympics International and the Board of Directors of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Nadia frequently travels to Romania to support dozens of charities in her homeland. Bart and Nadia continue to travel the world delivering inspirational speeches as well as promoting their charities, gymnastics, fitness and healthy lifestyles.About Peak Vista Community Health Centers
