Niki Weirich Anchors FOX21 News at 6:30 and 9 p.m. with Joe Cole.
Niki started her career in Youngstown, Ohio as the morning show live reporter on 27 WKBN. After waking up early for a little more than two years, she started anchoring the 10 p.m. Fox show on WKBN's sister station, WYFX.
In March of 2008 Niki was promoted to main anchor on 33 WYTV, the ABC affiliate in Youngstown, Ohio. She was responsible for the 5:30, 6 & 11 p.m. shows. She also co-hosted the local cut-ins for The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.
After spending nearly six years in Ohio, Niki decided to take on a whole new challege. That's when she became part of the FOX21 family here in Colorado Springs.
Niki is a graduate of Kent State University where she received her degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. She also anchored at TV-2, a student-run television station at Kent State.
Niki was born in Orrville, Ohio - the home of Smucker's Jelly. She was raised in Kidron, Ohio which is where the majority of her family still lives. It's a small little country town with a population of fewer than 1,000. It's a little under two hours from the Ohio state capitol, Columbus.
