Terry Gerbstadt

School: Michigan State University and Metropolitan State College

Terry Gerbstadt is a certified meteorologist who has been serving the weather needs of Southern Colorado for over twenty years. He earned his Meteorology Degree from Metropolitan State College in Denver and holds the Seal of Approval from both The American Meteorological Society and The National Weather Association.

Terry has been on FOX21 News at Nine since January, 2003. He was pleased to find out that so many of you appreciate getting the weather one hour earlier.

Terry has also played an active role in the community. In addition to some award winning work for The American Cancer Society, he frequently is found in the classroom speaking to students and enhancing their knowledge of meteorology.

Outside interests, include finance and sports. He has a degree in finance from Michigan State University . He is also a sports fan as well as a participant. Playing softball, hiking Colorado 's fourteen thousand foot peaks and watching football are some of his passions.

Terry and his wife Donna have lived in Colorado for over twenty years.

Artic air and snow continue Wednesday into Thursday   

Overnight Wednesday, the readings on the thermometer will drop into the single digits and low teens.  Add to that winds between five and 10 miles per hour, and the wind chill temperatures will drop below zero. The temperatures on Thursday will linger in the teens with wind chills in the single digits most of the day.
