Kristyn is truly blessed for the gifts God has given her in life. Born into a beautiful family of seven and raised in the city of Long Beach, Calif.
She learned at a young age that with hard work, dedication and perseverance, anything is possible. She's always been interested and intrigued with news media, particularly hard news and breaking news stories. As a child, Kristyn knew that she wanted to be a reporter after watching Katie Couric and Matt Lauer on the Today Show.
She graduated from California State University - Long Beach in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications. Following graduation, Kristyn worked for a PBS News affiliate in southern Illinois as their evening anchor and producer.
She is excited to be joining the FOX21 News team and is eager to learn as much as possible to one day fulfill her dream as a national investigative reporter.
During her spare time, Kristyn enjoys watching I Love Lucy re-runs, salsa dancing to Latin beats and rhythms, and traveling to new places to soak up some "cultural color!" She thanks her family and close friends for their unconditional love and continuous support and wouldn't be who she is today without them.
